Preventive & Wellness Care

Small problems are cheap. Big ones aren't. Catch it early.

What Tends to Get Missed Without Regular Check-Ups?

!

Early organ or dental issues that don't cause obvious symptoms until they're advanced.

!

Vaccination gaps that leave your pet exposed right when they're most at risk as a kitten, puppy, or newly acquired exotic.

!

Parasite loads and husbandry-related issues that build up quietly, especially in reptiles, rabbits, and rodents.

It depends on the species. Cats, dogs, and rabbits follow established vaccination protocols, while reptiles, fish & amphibians generally don’t require vaccines, their preventive care instead centres on husbandry, parasite control, and regular health screening. We’ll tell you exactly what applies to your pet during your first visit

Pricing depends on the species and scope of the visit. Consultations start from RM90, contact our team for a specific estimate based on your pet’s needs before you book.

Young animals and senior pets do best with a check-up every 6 months, while healthy adult pets should be seen at least once a year. Exotic species, reptiles, birds, rabbits, and small mammals, often need more frequent visits, since their symptoms tend to stay hidden longer and conditions can progress faster once they do appear.

Bring any previous medical or vaccination records, a list of current medications or supplements, and a quick note on your pet’s diet and housing. For exotic pets especially, details about enclosure setup, temperature & diet help us catch husbandry-related issues early. A secure carrier appropriate for your species is also essential.

Yes, that’s really the point of it. Most conditions we catch during wellness exams don’t have visible symptoms yet. Animals are naturally good at masking illness, especially exotic species, so “seeming healthy” isn’t the same as being confirmed healthy. A check-up is how we verify it rather than assume it.
