From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The veterinarian was highly knowledgeable about birds and handled my parrot with great care and patience. They took the time to explain everything clearly and provided helpful advice on my parrot's health and ongoing care. It was reassuring to see how experienced they were with exotic pets, and I felt confident that my parrot was receiving the best possible treatment. The only problem is that they don't operates 24 hours a day, it would be much better if they were open 24 hours.

The staff and veterinarians are very friendly, helpful, and genuinely care about the animals. Service was fast and efficient, and the consultation fees and treatments were reasonably priced. Do you offer emergency care?

Yes, during clinic hours (Mon, Wed–Sun 11 AM–7 PM), we accept emergency cases. Call +60-3-5145 8989 immediately—we’ll triage and fit you in based on urgency.

What are ExoCare's clinic hours?

We’re open Monday, Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. We are closed on Tuesdays for clinic maintenance. For emergency cases during our operating hours, please call +60-3-5145 8989 immediately. After hours, please contact a 24-hour emergency veterinary facility.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book in four ways:

Payment is due at time of consultation. For major procedures, payment plans are available—discuss with our staff. Unpaid accounts may be referred to a collection agency.

Are your veterinarians qualified and licensed?

Our lead veterinarian, Dr. Asma Fariha, is MVC Registration #3362 with specialized training from Universiti Putra Malaysia and international expertise from EAVSI (Shanghai, China).

Can you detect heart murmurs during a routine exam?

Yes — thoracic auscultation (listening to the heart and lungs) is a standard part of the exam. A murmur detected early can prompt further cardiac workup before symptoms like reduced exercise tolerance or coughing appear.

What about early kidney or liver issues in senior pets?

A physical exam alone can sometimes reveal abdominal changes on palpation, but bloodwork is usually needed to properly assess organ function. If we notice anything during the physical exam, we’ll recommend additional diagnostics rather than guess.

Can this exam catch metabolic bone disease in reptiles?

A physical exam can pick up on physical signs like softened jaw or limb deformities in more advanced cases, but early metabolic bone disease is closely tied to UVB and calcium husbandry — which is why we review husbandry alongside the physical exam for reptile patients specifically.

Will you tell me if something looks concerning the same day?

Yes. We walk through our findings with you immediately after the exam, in plain language, and recommend next steps whether that’s monitoring at home, a diet or husbandry adjustment, or further diagnostics.

Can a check-up catch dental disease before it needs an extraction?

Often, yes. Oral inspection is part of every comprehensive check-up, and catching gingivitis or early tartar buildup before it progresses to periodontal disease can mean the difference between a cleaning and a more involved extraction later.
