A nutrition assessment reviews body condition, diet history, and looks for deficiencies or excesses you might not notice day-to-day. It’s worth doing even if your pet seems healthy.

Weight loss needs a calculated plan, not just “feed less.” We work out a target weight, a caloric plan, and check progress with scheduled weigh-ins so it actually works long-term.

For conditions like kidney disease, diabetes, or urinary issues, diet is often a core part of treatment, not just a nice-to-have. A therapeutic diet plan works alongside medication, not instead of it.

It depends heavily on species, hay ratios for rabbits, gut-loading for reptiles, pellet transition for birds are all very different. We recommend a dedicated nutrition consult for any newly acquired exotic pet.

Contact us right away rather than searching online, toxicity varies by species and by what was eaten. We can advise on next steps and whether it needs urgent attention.
