The decision deserves clear information, not a sales pitch

Spay and neuter is a routine procedure, but “routine” doesn’t mean it should feel rushed. Understanding the actual health considerations  for your pet’s specific species and age  is what makes it your decision, not just ours.

Your pet arrives for pre-surgical checks, then proceeds to surgery under monitored anaesthesia built for their species. After the procedure, they move to a recovery phase before we assess discharge readiness.

The right age depends on your pet’s species, breed, and current health — there’s no single answer that applies to every animal. We’ll advise after a proper consult and physical assessment.

Spay and neuter can reduce certain reproductive health risks in some species — we’ll explain what’s relevant for your specific pet. The decision should be based on individual circumstances, not a generalised list.

ExoCare uses species-specific anaesthetic protocols — particularly important for exotic pets where a standard mammal dose is not appropriate. Continuous monitoring of vitals throughout the procedure is standard.

We’ll give you specific aftercare instructions at discharge and a contact point if concerns arise. Recovery looks different by species and individual — we’ll tell you what to watch for based on your pet.
